This class is a perfect introduction to ganache and covering cakes in a celebration style.
You will learn how to split, level, fill and cover your cake professionally, as well as decorate it to a high standard in a colour of your choice. This class will also cover transferable skills including dripping fondant, sugar cherries and sprinkles. All materials and ingredients are provided and you will leave with a beautiful 6” chocolate cake, decorated by you to take home to enjoy with your family! This class will change the way you decorate cakes – forever!

How to cover your cake with sugar paste to a high standard and finish
How to make and work with ganache including how to achieve sharp edges
How to decorate your cake with a dripping fondant style
How to cover your board in a contemporary style
Leave with the confidence to create impressive celebration cakes at home!
Level: Beginner to Intermediate. Ideally you will have some prior experience of covering cakes.
Length of class: Approximately 5 hours with a short break for lunch.
What do you need to bring:
Just a bite to eat for lunch and a notebook.
Aprons are provided to use during the day and light refreshments will be served during the class.
