This class is a perfect introduction to ganache and covering cakes in a celebration style. Design inspired by one of my cake heroes Andrea Sullivan.
You will learn how to split, level, fill and cover your cake professionally, as well as decorate it to a high standard in a colour of your choice. We will use the ganache lid method – a must for those sharp edges! This class will also cover transferable skills including dripping fondant, sugar cherries and sprinkles. All materials and ingredients are provided and you will leave with a beautiful tall 6” chocolate cake, decorated by you to take home to enjoy with your family! This class will change the way you decorate cakes – forever!

How to make and work with ganache including how to achieve sharp edges
How to decorate your cake with a dripping fondant style
How to cover your board in a contemporary style

Level: Beginner to Intermediate. Ideally you will have some prior experience of covering cakes.
Length of class: Approximately 5 hours with a short break for lunch.
What do you need to bring:
Just a bite to eat for lunch and a notebook.
Aprons are provided to use during the day and light refreshments will be served during the class.
